By getting more beauty products at home, the elderly and the disabled can have a happier life, says a new study.
The survey of 1,500 people found that older people are the most likely to choose luxury products over more everyday products, with 84 per cent of those over the age of 60 choosing products made from recycled materials.
The research found that women aged 55-64 were also more likely to say they chose luxury brands because of the “luxury of taste” rather than the “quality” of products.
“The majority of the people who buy luxury goods are older women who have had enough of the high price of designer clothes, shoes and shoeshine,” Dr. Tiana Mather, a senior lecturer in geriatrics at the University of Sydney and co-author of the study, told BBC News.
