AUSTRALIA’S beauty brand is on the brink of launching its first black girl-focused beauty campaign in more than a decade.
Black Girl Beautiful, which was launched in January by Aussie beauty brand Black Beauty, will run across its social media platforms from next week.
“Black girls in Australia are often told that they can’t wear their hair natural,” Aussie Black Beauty co-founder Emma Brown said.
“We know that there are lots of reasons for this.
We’ll be exploring different styles and colours and skin tones in our campaign and it’s all based on our vision and values.” “
There are so many reasons why a black girl will look different, and Black Beauty is not going to stop there.
We’ll be exploring different styles and colours and skin tones in our campaign and it’s all based on our vision and values.”
The new campaign, which will run from April 1, is the brainchild of Aussie black beauty brand manager, Emma Brown, and features a mix of black girls and white models in all the right outfits.
A video released by the brand’s Instagram account shows a young black girl in a white top, with black eyeliner, black eyelashes and black makeup.
The video ends with a young white girl in an aqua dress and heels, which the brand says will give the message of “beauty and love”.
The brand also has a series of Instagram posts highlighting black women and highlighting the “beautiful, confident and empowered black girl”.
“Black Girls, and other minority communities, are seen as less attractive and less desirable by the majority white society,” Ms Brown said in the video.
“So if you want to see that, you’re going to have to make the choice to choose your beauty over your skin tone, and that’s something we really believe in.”
I think a lot of people in the beauty industry don’t realise that the beauty and love we see in beauty is coming from all walks of life.
Ms Brown has previously shared similar videos on Instagram that highlight the beauty of black women, including one that highlighted the beauty, love and empowerment of black people. “
It’s a really important message to have in your Instagram feed,” Ms Higgins said.

A black beauty ad in 2010 was criticised for having a white beauty model in the lead role.
It also features a black singer, a white rapper and a white actor in a group of white models.
“I think we can say that we are really proud to be black and to be the first black beauty company in Australia,” Ms Black Beauty said in a statement.
“That’s why we’re excited about being able to launch a new campaign that will highlight the beautiful, confident, empowered black girls in our community and all the beautiful people that support us in every aspect of our lives.”
A Black Beauty spokesperson said the campaign would be an extension of the brand in its “global mission to celebrate beauty, support and empower the beautiful black girls”.
